Dermatoses are basically autoimmune conditions, although they may occur for a number of different reasons. It typically develops when the immune system fails to recognize the healthy tissues of the body as ‘self.’ As a result, it mounts an attack on the healthy tissues of the skin, leading to the development of skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. The dermatoses’ symptoms may worsen due to superimposed infections by bacteria or fungi.
Dermatoses may also develop in patients who have a family of autoimmune conditions, suggesting the role of genetics in the development of this condition.
Topisalen can reduce the symptoms of different forms of dermatoses by modifying the immune system’s response. This can help control the excessive formation of skin cells and provide relief from symptoms such as excessive scaling, dryness, itching, and redness of the skin.
