Miebo / Evo Tears (generic name: perfluorohexyloctane) eye drops act as a protective covering over the tear layers on the front of the eye. They prevent excessive evaporation of tears and effectively relieve the discomfort of dry eyes.

Perfluorohexyloctane is in a class of medications called semifluorinated alkanes.

Evo Tears is an over-the-counter (OTC) product and does not require a doctor’s prescription.

Dosage

The usual dosage is one drop in each eye four times daily. Before administering, remove contact lenses; they should be kept out for at least 30 minutes afterward.

Storage
