Asthma: Foradil is recommended for asthma in individuals already using inhaled corticosteroids and needing a long-acting beta-agonist alongside it. Asthma symptoms include breathlessness, chest tightness, wheezing, disrupted sleep, and worsened coughing or wheezing during respiratory infections.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Foradil prevents and treats bronchoconstriction in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Common signs of COPD include breathlessness during physical activity, a chronic productive cough often mistaken for a smoker’s cough, regular chest infections, and ongoing wheezing. The primary test for COPD is spirometry, a lung function test measuring how much air the patient breathes out.
