Omnaris may cause some mild side effects such as:
- headache
- earache
- inflammation of the nasal passages, pharynx, or throat (nasopharyngitis)
- mild nosebleeds.
If these persist or worsen, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.
In clinical studies, there were some occurrences of localized infections of the nose and pharynx with Candida albicans. If such an infection develops, it may require treatment with appropriate therapy and for Omnaris to be discontinued. Patients using Omnaris over extended periods should be examined regularly for evidence of infection or any other signs of adverse effects on the nasal mucosa
Allergic rhinitis is caused by a reaction that occurs when you breathe in or eat something you are allergic to. It can be common environmental substances like dust, animal dander (dead hair), or pollen from grass, trees or flowers. People can also be allergic to some specific foods, liquids or smells.
The main symptoms are sneezing; an itchy nose; a runny or blocked nose; itchy, red and watery eyes; a cough; and itching in the roof of the mouth.
Seasonal allergic rhinitis occurs mostly at a change of season, most particularly when going into spring. Perennial allergic rhinitis is the term used when the allergies are not linked to any specific time of year but happen throughout the year.
