Ludiomil is a generic form of medication known as Melodil. This medication contains the active ingredient maprotiline, a tetracyclic antidepressant that helps raise the amount and activity of norepinephrine in the brain. Ludiomil is used to treat depression and anxiety in patients who have a depression disorder.

Contact a doctor immediately if any of these side effects are experienced:
- Rash
- Muscle spasms in the neck, jaw and back
- Shuffling walk
- Slow or difficult speech
- Uncontrollable shaking of a body part
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Yellowing of the eyes or skin
- Flu-like symptoms. Sore throat, chills, or fever
- Irregular heartbeat
The most common side effects may include:
- Nausea
- Changes in appetite (may lead to changes in weight)
- Excessive sweating
- Drowsiness, tiredness or weakness
- Dry mouth
- Nightmares
- Heightened sensitivity of skin to sunlight
- Difficulty with urination, frequent urination
- Constipation
- Blurred vision
- Changes in libido
