Stunarone (cinnarizine) can be prescribed for the management of motion sickness and labyrinthine or vestibular (inner ear) disorders such as motion sickness, Ménière’s disease, vertigo, nystagmus, or tinnitus. It is also used to treat irritation and circulation disturbances of the inner ear (ringing in the ears, and dizziness).
Cinnarizine is an antihistamine and calcium channel blocker. It helps to relieve the symptoms of motion sickness and other inner ear disorders by interfering with the transmission of signals between the vomiting center of the hypothalamus and the inner ear’s vestibular sensors.
