Starting August 29, 2025, U.S. Customs began enforcing tariffs on all international shipments, including medicines. This is not an IsraelPharm policy — it’s a new U.S. government regulation that affects every pharmacy outside the United States.
What changed regarding U.S Customs?
The U.S. ended the “de minimis rule,” which allowed packages under $800 to enter duty-free. Now, every shipment is subject to customs review, tariffs, and possible delays. As well, a uniform tariff is being imposed on all imports of medications. Right now, the tariff rate from Israel is 15%, but that could be subject to further change.
How much is the tariff?
A flat 15% tariff will be applied to all U.S.-bound orders at IsraelPharm. The tariff is added at checkout. If US Customs doesn’t collect it, we will automatically refund the full amount of the tariff to you.
When did the tariffs start?
The tariff has been in effect since August 29, 2025, and applies until further notice. We are keeping ourselves fully aware of developments in this new area, for example, as announced on the US Customs and Border Protection website. We will be looking out for any developments that may affect how the new rules could impact you.
Why are U.S. tariffs happening?
The U.S. government has introduced tariffs on nearly all imports, aiming to reduce dependence on foreign supply chains and encourage more production to take place back home. While this goal may take years to realize, the immediate effect is higher prices and more customs oversight for patients today.
Do new U.S tariffs mean I can’t order my medicine online anymore?
No. IsraelPharm is operating as usual. We will also closely monitor the situation, maintain open communication, and stay transparent so you know exactly what to expect. Our focus is on making sure your medicines continue to reach you safely, at the best price, and with as little disruption as possible.
Will all medicines from IsraelPharm be affected by tariffs?
Not all. Some products are not subject to tariffs, including:
- Enovid/NOWONDER antiviral nasal spray
- All Perfect Pack supplements
- Nasodine, antiviral nasal cleanser
- Zoomind natural ADHD supplement.
- All compounded medications that are shipped from U.S. pharmacies
How will tariffs affect shipping times?
U.S. Customs may take longer to process packages as they adapt to the new rules. We’ll keep you informed about your order every step of the way.
