Most people who use Zithromax do not experience any adverse side effects. Doctors prescribe this medication because they assess the benefits of such treatment outweigh any likely unwanted effects.
If after taking Zithromax, a sudden allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) occurs, with symptoms like swelling of the face, tongue, or throat making it difficult to breathe or swallow, or there is wheezing, hives, rash, blistering, or peeling of the skin, call a doctor or 911 right away, or go to an emergency room immediately.
Common side effects of Azenil may include loose stools or diarrhea, nausea, stomach ache, throwing up, irritation in the vagina, skin rash, stomach upset, and headaches.
Not all side effects are listed here. If these or other unlisted symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare provider or pharmacist.
Various bacterial infections: Zithromax may be used to treat respiratory, skin, ear, and sexually transmitted infections. For diagnosis, a bacteria culture test can identify if a bacterial infection is present. The test can be done on blood, stool, urine, skin, mucus, or spinal fluid samples. It helps a doctor determine the cause of an infection and the best treatment. Symptoms of a bacterial infection can vary but may include fever, feeling tired, swollen lymph nodes, headache, and nausea.
