Cautions:

Rarely, a sudden allergic reaction may occur after taking Oruvail SR, with symptoms like swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or throat that may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing, or there is wheezing, hives, rash, blistering, or peeling of the skin. In that case, call a doctor or 911 right away, or go to an emergency room immediately.

Oruvail SR should not be used in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Use during earlier pregnancy should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and advised by a doctor, because it may harm the unborn baby. Oruvail SR passes into breast milk and there is a possibility the baby may be affected. Do not take it if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed unless a doctor advises otherwise.

Most people who use Oruvail SR do not experience adverse side effects. Doctors prescribe this medication because they assess the benefits outweigh the possible risks.

Common side effects:

• Stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, or cramps
• Constipation, diarrhoea, stomach pain, or wind
• Loss of appetite
• Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, disorientation, or ringing in the ears
• Dry or itchy skin, sore mouth or tongue, or rash.

Serious side effects requiring immediate action:

• Severe stomach pain, vomiting blood, black sticky stools, bloody diarrhoea, or bleeding from the back passage
• Chest pain, palpitations, or worsening heart failure with shortness of breath and swollen ankles or feet
• Bleeding or bruising more easily than normal, or reddish or purplish blotches under the skin
• Changes in urine colour, blood in the urine, increased or reduced urination, or burning when passing urine
• Asthma, wheezing, or shortness of breath.

Oruvail SR is used to treat symptoms in adults with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Both conditions can cause ongoing joint pain and reduced mobility, but they affect the body in different ways.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory condition that can cause joint swelling, warmth, and morning stiffness that lasts longer than a short “start‑up” period. Osteoarthritis is more related to joint wear and tear, often causing pain with activity, stiffness after rest, and reduced range of motion.

Symptoms that people may notice include joint pain, tenderness, swelling, stiffness, and difficulty using the affected joint in normal daily tasks. Some people also notice redness or soreness around a joint, and fatigue when pain is persistent.
