It does not cure GA or AMD.

Izervay is administered by a qualified ophthalmologist as an intravitreal injection. This means it is injected directly into the vitreous, which is the jelly-like fluid that fills the eye. Before the shot, your doctor will numb your eye with anesthetic drops and clean it with an antiseptic to prevent infection. The process is very quick and performed in a sterile clinical setting to ensure safety.

Izervay injections are generally not considered painful. Your eye doctor will use strong numbing eye drops before the procedure to minimize discomfort.
