More common Abdominal or stomach pain blurred vision confusion difficult breathing dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position irregular heartbeat nausea or vomiting nervousness numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, or lips sweating unusual tiredness or weakness weakness or heaviness of the legs Less common Bloody urine decreased frequency or amount of urine increased thirst loss of appetite lower back or side pain swelling of the face, fingers, or lower legs weight gain Rare Large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs Some of the side effects that can occur with sacubitril / valsartan may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Tell your doctor about all your current medicines and any you start or stop using, especially: aliskiren; lithium; any other heart or blood pressure medicines; a diuretic or “water pill”; medicine or mineral supplements that contain potassium; or NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) – aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen (Aleve), celecoxib, diclofenac, indomethacin, meloxicam, and others.
