Crolom, also known as cromoptic, is a medicine used as a mast cell treatment. It is used to prevent allergy symptoms in the eyes.Â
Crolom contains cromoglicic acid (cromolyn sodium), which is part of the anti-allergy medicine group. It works by blocking the secretion of certain substances that may cause allergy symptoms, such as histamine and SRS-A.
Stop using this treatment and consult a doctor immediately if stinging, swelling, or redness of the eyes worsens. This may indicate an allergic reaction.
The most common side effects may include burning or stinging of the eye or blurred vision that usually appears right after the treatment and shouldn’t last long. Another common side effect that may occur is mild irritation of the eye.
