Does Xarelto destroy platelets?

Platelets are tiny blood cells that are produced in bone marrow. When there is an injury in the body, platelets stick together to form a plug to seal the wound. When the platelet count in blood is too low, the condition is called thrombocytopenia, increasing the risk of bleeding or bruising more than usual. In clinical studies, Xarelto did not lower platelet counts.

What is the most common side effect of Xarelto?

How to tell whether Xarelto is working?

Xarelto (rivaroxaban) works by preventing blood clots from forming following a certain irregular heartbeat or after hip or knee replacement surgery. It also is used to prevent and treat blood clots, such as with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolus (PE). Xarelto 2.5mg is manufactured in Germany. Xarelto 10, 15. and 20mg are manufactured in Turkey.

Storage
