Otrexup is a self-administered, once-weekly subcutaneous injection of methotrexate. It is designed to treat active rheumatoid arthritis in adults and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis in children. Otrexup also helps manage symptoms of severe, recalcitrant psoriasis that is not responsive to other therapies. It works by suppressing the immune system to reduce inflammation.
