Nexletol is not known to have a direct major interaction with alcohol. However, heavy alcohol use can affect your liver, and Nexletol works in the liver. Nexletol begins to lower LDL cholesterol within a few weeks of starting treatment. You may see significant changes in your cholesterol levels in as little as four weeks. Nexletol is less likely to cause muscle-related side effects compared to statins because of how it is activated in the body.
