Orudis can cause side effects similar to those of other NSAIDs, and the side effects generally do not vary significantly based on the condition being treated. Individual patient factors like age, overall health, and concomitant medications can influence the severity and likelihood of these side effects.

The most common side effects include:

• Stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, and gastrointestinal bleeding. NSAIDs can irritate the stomach lining, leading to ulcers and bleeding.
• Cardiovascular risks, especially with long-term use, include increased blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke.
• Kidney damage or failure, particularly in patients with pre-existing kidney conditions or in elderly patients.
• Allergic reactions causing mild skin rashes
• Central nervous system (CNS) effects can include dizziness, headache, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

It is essential to consult with a healthcare provider to understand the specific risks associated with Orudis based on personal health history and the condition being treated.

In rare cases, there is a possibility of anaphylactic shock. The reactions within a short time after starting treatment with Orudis may include: 

• Shortness of breath
• Trouble with breathing
• Swelling of the face or throat
• Chest pain
• Weakness in one part or on the side of the body
• Slurred speech 
• Vomiting blood, severe stomach pains, or dark stools
• Skin reactions include hives, burning or tingling (paresthesia), itching, easy bruising, prolonged bleeding after breaking the skin, or flushed or pale skin.

If any of these are observed, stop taking the medication immediately and go to an emergency healthcare facility. Tell them that you have just started taking Orudis.

Warnings:

NSAIDs may cause side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, and visual impairment. If you experience these side effects, do not drive any vehicle or use tools or machinery.

Orudis can be prescribed for the following conditions:

• Rheumatoid arthritis – a condition where inflammation is a key component of pain and joint stiffness.
• Ankylosing Spondylitis – a type of inflammatory arthritis that mainly affects the spine and sacroiliac joints. Orudis helps by reducing the pain and inflammation in these areas, promoting better spinal flexibility and function.
• Osteoarthritis – a condition where inflammation of the joints leads to pain and discomfort.
• Dysmenorrhea – a common gynecological condition when there are painful cramps at the time of menstruation. Contractions during menstruation can cause pain. Prostaglandins play a role in these contractions and can make them more painful. By reducing prostaglandin levels, Orudis helps alleviate this pain. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and can help to lessen menstrual cramps that can come from inflammation in the pelvic area.

Orudis can also be prescribed alongside other medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
